Many
people ask, "How does a toll free number work" ?
Many
people want to know if a toll free number requires the
installation of an additional line. The answer is
"no", you do not need a dedicated line for your
toll free number. All calls to your toll free number will be
answered by your customer service rep at Hands-Free Office
in your company's name, in accordance with your Basic
Office Service.
Can
I use
my
existing toll free number with
Hands-Free Office's service?
If you do
own your
toll free number, you can have Hands-Free Office handle all
of your incoming calls to that number. You may also continue
to use your current phone company if you wish, while having Hands-Free Office
Inc.'s staff answer your calls. If you are required to dial
a pin number to access your toll free number, then you do
not own it (it belongs to an answering service), and we
cannot redirect the number.
Will
I get a statement with my inbound calls on my monthly bill?
A detail of
your incoming calls can be included (at your request) with
your monthly statement from Hands-Free Office Inc. This will
include the number, city and state where the call originated
from. If the caller blocks his call by dialing
"*67" the call will not show. There will not be
any additional per minute charge for your toll-free number.
It is included in the Basic
Office Service package.
Can
I block certain area codes
such
as Maine
or
Canada?
Yes, we can
block any area code that you wish. Local customers can be
given your local number to call and the toll free number can
be used for out-of-state calls.
Can
the toll free number be called from Europe?
Not at this
time. Toll Free numbers are reserved for use within the
United States and Canada.
Is
there ever a Surcharge?
All Calls
Made From A PayPhone Have A Surcharge. This will vary with
carrier and is a fee set by FCC regulations. Since toll free
service is included with our Basic Office Service, this is
of no concern to you as a client of Hands-Free Office Inc.
Can
I buy my 800 number from Hands-Free Office? Yes
- ownership of your toll free number can be transferred to
you after you have been our client for at least 1 month. The
fee for this transfer is $50.00 US.
